Google AnalyticsWhat is Google Analytics?Google Analytics (abbreviated GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a web site. This product is designed primarily for marketers rather than webmasters and technology experts. Every AcuWeb web site is now configured to use Google Analytics. AcuTraffic™ is the legacy visitor tracking software previously used to monitor traffic to your website. For clients using AcuWeb tools prior to June, 2009, you may also see an item on your AcuWeb Menus for AcuTraffic™, containing a site traffic 'snapshot' that pre-dates the switch to GoogleAnalytics. To learn more about AcuTraffic™, please choose the AcuTraffic item from the main navigation bar [above]. How to I access Google Analytics?
* If you have an existing e-mail and Google user account, your username and password will not be the same as your Updater log in username and password. FAQ'sWhat if I don't have a Google account?Acuity will set up your Google account for you when setting up the Google Analytics account. Your primary e-mail address (the one using the domain of your web site.) and the Updater password will be used to set up the log in information for Google Analytics. What if I already have a Google account? Please contact Acuity with the e-mail address you use for this account so we can set up the Google Analytics account. What if I lost my Google account password? On the main Google Analytics log in page, click on the "I cannot access my account" link under the password box and follow the directions to reset your password. You will need to have access to your registered e-mail account to reset your password. NOTE: If you change your Google Analytics password to a value other than the one assigned to you by Acuity, and then you lose the password, Acuity will have no knowledge of the changed password value; so it is incumbent upon you to let Acuity know of any password changes IF you want us to provide you with a "safety back-up" of all your web-administrative passwords, including Google Analytics.
